On Being a Mother

It must be the strangest, most difficult experience ever thought of, ever. Inside, very close to the heart, it is growing day by day, soon moving even, a hard to describe; life. At just the right time, a beautiful little baby is born, and you delight as you know it is yours; to love forever - no matter what. It is called a blessing.
Each stage of youth is a new assignment - no matter how many you will have - each one is unique and special - a challenge, really, to your growth as well as his or hers.
I call it a special honor given to us women, one of God's creations.
